Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ontario is in contention at the 2026 Women’s PGA Championship. On Saturday, Henderson improved to -10 and is in second place, and only one stroke back of the leader, Hae-ran Ryu of South Korea at -11.
Henderson had an opening round score of three-under-par 69, a second round score of four-under-par 68, and a third round score of three-under-par 69. In the opening round, she had four birdies and one bogey. Henderson birdied the seventh, 11th, 12th and 15th holes, and bogeyed the fourth hole. In the second round, Henderson had five birdies and one bogey. She birdied the seventh, eighth, ninth, 11th, and 16th holes, and bogeyed the fourth hole. In the third round, Henderson had four birdies and one bogey. She birdied the second, eighth, ninth, and 16th holes, and bogeyed the sixth hole.
There are three other golfers in contention. I-na Yoon of South Korea is two strokes back at -9. Dewi Weber of the Netherlands and A Lim Kim of South Korea are three strokes back at -8.
Henderson and Kim are major champions from the past. Henderson won the 2016 Women’s PGA Championship and the 2022 Evian Championship. Kim won the 2020 United States Women’s Open. On Thursday, Brooke Henderson’s sister Brittany, gave birth to a baby girl, and named her Sahalee, after the name of the course where Brooke won her first major a decade ago.
