Gym Class Heroes have released “Universal Language,” their first new music in 15 years.
The comeback began with a surprise moment when vocalist Travie McCoy appeared with the Savannah Bananas last fall to announce the band’s return and preview new music. “Universal Language” draws on McCoy’s years of travel and how love is a universal language that transcends words. “It’s the ultimate final boss for AI,” he says. “I feel that’s something that could never be coded or built into a motherboard — the look from one human to another that says, ‘I get it.’”

McCoy has also confirmed a new Gym Class Heroes LP is on the way. Until then, they have several performances lined up, including appearances at Warped Tour in Long Beach, Make More mEMOries Festival, and a set for Soccer Capital Summer in Kansas City.
