Pitbull has added another distinction to his name after setting a Guinness World Record, thanks to his signature bald look. Thousands of fans gathered wearing bald caps as part of a tribute to the rapper, creating a spectacle and officially setting a record. The record-breaking event proved that Pitbull’s signature look remains as iconic as ever.

On July 10, Pitbull fans gathered in London for the rapper’s performance at the BST Hyde Park Festival. It wasn’t a typical concert, however, as thousands of people attended donning bald caps, sunglasses, and suits, cosplaying as Mr. Worldwide.

With 22,141 attendees wearing bald caps, including Pitbull (born Armando Christian Pérez) himself, a new record was set for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps, as recognized by the Guinness World Records.

Guinness official Will Munford said Pitbull also had to wear a bald cap for him to be counted, as it wasn’t a record for bald people.

To ensure accuracy, about 400 volunteers individually checked and counted concert attendees at the venue’s entrance, and drones were also used for counting.

“I’m speechless. Who would have thought a first-generation Cuban would be record-breaking and record-making?” Pibull said upon receiving a certificate, per The Guardian.

The Idea To Break A Record Came From A Podcaster

Pitbull’s appearance at the BST Festival was announced in 2025, and soon after, podcaster and fan Jack Remmington posted a TikTok video sharing a brilliant idea. Considering the venue’s capacity of about 65,000, he said setting a world record for the most people gathered in one place dressed up as the rapper could be done easily.

“Guys, guys, guys. I think I just found the one thing that could unite the U.K. I know we’re going through a troublesome time at the moment. There is one person who can save us,” Remmington said. He got in contact with BBC Radio 1’s Greg James, who, in turn, messaged Pitbull about the idea. The singer quickly agreed.

Two Strict Rules Had To Be Followed

In February, it was announced that Pitbull would be attempting to set a Guinness World Record at his upcoming concert.

Participants had strict rules to follow in order to be counted. The bald cap must be secured on their head, with hair in front tucked under the cap. Hair from the back may be left hanging. They also need to wear the bald cap for a full minute, which would be signalled by a start-and-stop sound.

Some fans who didn’t prepare ahead of time found it difficult to secure a bald cap because many stores had sold out in advance. Other attendees were not superfans of Pitbull but figured it would be an amazing event and a fun event to be part of.

“It’s a blessing and an honor to see the baldies in London,” Pitbull told the crowd.

Pitbull Refers To His Fans As The Bald-E’s

Pitbull fans have been attending his concerts in costume for years. The trend began in 2021 after the COVID pandemic, with Pitbull noticing groups of fans donning bald caps and glasses while watching him perform. The movement spread, and more and more people showed up in the singer’s signature style.

“It’s the ultimate trophy to be able to go on stage and see all the hard work that you put into the music. I’ve been in the game for 25 years and to see every demographic, everybody [dressing up] at the shows is priceless,” Pitbull said in 2025.

The singer affectionately calls his fans the “Bald-E’s,” (pronounced like baldies), which is short for bald eagles. As Pitbull said, his fans “soar high like bald eagles,” a fitting nod to both their enthusiasm and his bald head.

Pitbull Is Currently On A Global Tour

Fans were ecstatic to see Pitbull reunite with Kesha at the BST Festival, where the duo performed their 2013 smash hit “Timber.” The performance came just a week after they surprised fans with the song at Roundhay Festival, marking their first live rendition of the song together in more than a decade.

Pitbull is currently on the “I’m Back” tour with special guest Lil Jon. He will be heading to France, the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, and Lithuania in July before starting the U.S. leg of his tour in August.
