While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were planning a wedding, they were also giving back. They made about $26 million in donations to various charities ahead of their wedding in Madison Square Garden over the July 4th weekend.
A rep for the “Love Story” singer told PEOPLE magazine that the couple had made $26 million in donations to various charitable organizations ahead of their wedding.
The nonprofits supported education, animal welfare, cancer care, food insecurity, and a variety of other charitable causes.
Many of those organizations have since taken to social media in order to thank the couple for their contributions.
Children’s Mercy Hospital Is In Their ‘Grateful Era’
Children’s Mercy Hospital was among the first to comment on rumors that Swift and Kelce had donated a large amount to the hospital. “The rumor about @taylorswift and @killatrav? It’s true. And we heard it with our own happy hearts,” they wrote in a caption on Instagram.
“Their incredible gift will help bring more comfort, joy and ‘just be a kid’ moments to Children’s Mercy, supporting the programs, services and care that make hospital days brighter for kids and families,” they continued. “More comfort. More magic. More reminders that our kids are seen, supported and surrounded by love”
“Friendship bracelets, end-zone dances and a whole lot of gratitude —Taylor and Travis, we’re in our grateful era,” they concluded. “Thank you.”
The ASPCA Shared A Friendship Bracelet… and Cats!
Swift is well-known for her love of cats, and the ASPCA shared a thank-you image featuring three kittens looking up at a friendship bracelet with Taylor and Travis’ names on it.
“Thank you, Taylor and Travis,” they wrote alongside two orange heart emojis. “We’re deeply grateful to @taylorswift and @killatrav for their generous donation to the ASPCA as a part of their latest charitable giving announcement.”
“This meaningful donation will help provide lifesaving care, shelter and second chances for vulnerable animals across the country,” they continued. “As we continue celebrating Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, there’s never been a better time to help even more cats find the loving homes they deserve.
Dolly Parton Thanks Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce For Their Donation
Country queen Dolly Parton took to Instagram to share a thoughtful message after Swift and Kelce donated $2 to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which is “dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five,” according to its website.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” Parton said in the video. “I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude. Now, it’s evident that you two have made giving back a key part of your lives.”
She also joked that she wanted the couple’s firstborn child because “that is gonna be one special baby.”
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank Received A $1 Million Donation
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also took to Instagram to thank the happy couple for a million-dollar donation. “In honor of their upcoming nuptials, @taylorswift and @killatrav made an extraordinary donation of $1 million to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank!” they wrote.
“We were THRILLED to learn of this unexpected gift, which comes at a time when the need for food assistance in our state is at an all-time high,” they continued. “Every dollar of this generous donation will be put to work to source food for distribution across our statewide network of 137 member agencies.
Food Bank CEO, Melissa Cherney, shared, “Gifts like this are a powerful reminder of the good we can do with the support of our community. This act of generosity shows that, together, we can meet this moment and truly eliminate hunger in our state.”
The organization went on to wish the couple “a happy wedding weekend and extend our boundless appreciation!”

Michael Sticka, the President and CEO of the Grammy Museum Foundation, also thanked Swift in a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude to the couple for “their extraordinary generosity and support of our Grammy In The Schools education programs.”
