Google’s Pixel 11 series is just around the corner, with rumours pointing to some significant upgrades (and almost certainly a price hike). A new Amazon leak has confirmed some more details, including showing off potential colour options that I really hope are real.
The search giant has had a history of launching Pixel phones with some unique, awesome colours — there was the blue OG Pixel, the ‘panda’ Pixel 2 XL, the orange Pixel 4, and many more.
However, more recent Pixel phones have lost a bit of that pizzazz — the indigo Pixel 10 colourway is great, for example, but doesn’t feature the cool two-tone style that earlier models had, while the 10 Pro models offer two shades of grey, an off-white colour, and a ‘jade’ colourway with a light green back and gold-coloured trim. It’s nice, but not that nice.
All this is to say, I hope Google has some more eye-catching colours planned for the Pixel 11 series. And the latest leak indicates it will. 9to5Google caught a trio of what appear to be placeholder Amazon listings for the search giant’s upcoming devices, which included official images of the new phones and other details. The listings have since been removed.
Before we get into the details, it’s worth noting that you should be skeptical about any leak like this. It’s Amazon, after all — while the listings appear legitimate (9to5 notes that the listings were part of the ‘Google Store’ on Amazon), any third-party seller could have created the listings. That said, most of the details included in the listings line up with other leaks and rumours, with the only major red flag 9to5 spotted being that the phones were listed as launching with Android 16. Given Android 17 is already out, the Pixel 11 series will almost certainly run the latest version of the operating system. Regardless, it’s best to be skeptical.
Please let the pink colour be real
Let’s look at the Pixel 11 first. The listing noted three colour options, though the names aren’t entirely clear. The listing titles mention Obsidian, Hibiscus, and Pistachio, while the descriptions said the colours were Midnight, Fuchsia, and Moss. The latter group of colours lines up with prior leaks.
On the Pixel 11 Pro line, there are Dune, Light Fog, Pine, and Sterling options, while the 11 Pro Fold also ahs Pine and Midnight colourways.
9to5 nabbed screenshots of all the device colours, which you can see in the gallery below. It’s not immediately clear from looking at the renders which phones are which, but some of the colours seem a little more obvious. The orange shade with golden accents is almost certainly the Pixel 11 Pro’s Dune colour, while the vibrant pink is likely the Fuchsia Pixel 11. The blacks phones are probably Midnight, while the greens likely are Moss and Pine (though I’m not totally sure which is which).
As for the specs spotted in the Amazon listings, most of these details also line up with existing leaks. The listings note the Pixel 11 will sport a 6.3-inch, 1080×2424 pixel display, 256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM.
That last detail is notable given rumours that Google would drop the base Pixel 11’s RAM to 8GB. However, the Pixel 11 Pro models were also listed with 12GB of RAM, which would be a downgrade from the 10 Pro’s 16GB of RAM. Likely this is just some sort of error with the leaked listings, but I’m also expecting Google will cut some corners on hardware this year — likely with RAM — given the ongoing component crisis caused by AI and fueling huge price hikes across the tech industry.
Big price hike?
Finally, the listing notes the Pixel 11 will sport a 4,985mAh battery, the 11 Pro XL will have a 5,115mAh battery, and the Pro 11 Fold will have a 4,750mAh battery. If accurate, that means slight battery size increases for the Pixel 11 and 11 Pro XL, and about a 250mAh decrease for the Fold. Yikes!
Rumours also suggest Google will raise prices on the Pixel 11 series, and the leaked Amazon listing seems to back that up. It noted a US$899 price for the Pixel 11, up from the US$799 price of the Pixel 10. Another leak put the Pixel 11 at €999 or £879. Assuming Canadian pricing follows suit, we could see the Pixel 11 starting between C$1,200 to C$1,600, up from the current C$1,099 price of the Pixel 10.
As much as I like that pink colour though, I’m not sure it’s enough to get me to spend $1,200 on a phone.
