Kylie Jenner kicked off launch day for her newest collection with an Instagram carousel, announcing that her KHY brand has teamed up with Frankies Bikinis for the Dream Bikinis line. The drop went live at 9AM PT today, exclusively at KHY.com.
The post was peak Kylie in full excitement mode. Each slide in the carousel got its own caption – a stream of “so hot,” “also hot,” “hot again,” and “ugh hot. the end.” One photo earned the aside “i don’t really love matcha.” It’s the kind of unfiltered moment that makes her posts feel more like a text thread than a product launch.
She opened the announcement with “my dream bikinis drop in the morning!!!! 9AM PT KHY.COM,” tagging both @khy and @frankiesbikinis. Another caption read “my bikinis!!!!!!!! i love them sm.” That level of founder enthusiasm isn’t always a given. When it comes through, it tends to be a decent signal for the actual product.
The collaboration pairs KHY with Frankies Bikinis, the LA-based swimwear label that’s been a go-to for celebrities and influencers for years. Frankies has a strong reputation for flattering cuts and designs that feel elevated without being overdone. It’s a good match. Frankies brings genuine swimwear expertise, and Kylie brings the reach to put it in front of millions of people on launch morning.
For KHY, this is a move into new territory. The brand launched in late 2023 as Kylie’s standalone fashion label, separate from her Kylie Cosmetics business. The brand has built a following with regular drops and collaborative releases, mostly in ready-to-wear. Swimwear is a first. Partnering with Frankies rather than building out a swim category from scratch was a smart call. It gets KHY into the space with real credibility behind it.
The timing helps too. A mid-July drop puts the collection right in peak summer. This isn’t a plan-ahead purchase. It’s on the site today, and the weather is cooperating.
Kylie has a track record for this kind of thing. Kylie Cosmetics grew into one of the biggest beauty brands of its generation. KHY has been building on that with regular collab-driven releases. A summer swim partnership with a brand like Frankies feels like a natural next move.
The pre-launch carousel drew over 1.1 million likes on Instagram. The drop wasn’t even live yet. That’s strong day-one interest, and it tracks with previous KHY launches.
The Dream Bikinis collection is available now at KHY.com.
