    On Sunday July 19th, Spain will take on Argentina in the World Cup final. If you want to soak up the atmosphere and excitement outdoors, here’s where to watch the match on a big screen near you.

    Spain will face Messi’s Argentina in the World Cup final this Sunday July 19th, at 9pm (Madrid time).

    It’s the first time La Roja has reached the final of the tournament in 16 years, making it a momentous occasion.

    If they win, it will be the second World Cup Spain has in its cabinet, after Iker Casillas lifted the trophy for the first time for España in 2010 in South Africa.

    The best way to enjoy the match is arguably in the company of Spaniards, and what better, more Spanish way to do that outdoors and with others?

    Countless cities and towns will install big screens and set up fan festivals in central squares, in order to bring everyone together to enjoy what will no doubt be a riveting match that could go down in footballing history.

    Want to find out where you can watch the final on a pantalla gigante (giant screen) near you?

    Madrid

    There are several different places at watch the final on a big screen in the capital. 

    • In Plaza de Colón there will be a giant screen with a capacity of approximately 6,000 people.
    • There will also be two more screens on Puente del Rey bridge with visibility from various points around the area. It will open a few hours before the match begins.
    • One of the biggest broadcasts will take place at the Movistar Arena. The venue is installing a massive 16×9 metre screen along with 10 smaller screens. Admission is free, although all 15,000 tickets were booked up within 90 minutes.

    Barcelona

    Barcelona City Council will set up an 8 x 5 metre screen on Martí i Franquès street in Les Corts neighbourhood. People will be able to access the venue from 7:00 p.m., when a series of games on the giant screen and music will begin, until at 8:30 p.m. when the pre-game coverage will start. The venue will have two access points on Menéndez y Pelayo Street and Martí i Franquès Street. Alcoholic beverages and glass bottles are not allowed.

    There will also be big screens set up in various smaller towns within easy reach of the city. 

    • Santa Coloma – Plaza de la Vila from 8:00 p.m.
    • Badalona – Josep Tarradellas square, in the Gorg neighbourhood from 9:00 p.m.
    • El Prat de Llobregat – Plaza Catalunya at 8:30 p.m.

    Málaga

    The city is opening the Auditorio del Cortijo de Torres for up to 10,000 fans. Tickets are mandatory but entirely free to download. 

    • Rincón de la Victoria: A screen will be set up Al-Ándalus Square, after the Ortigosa concert, scheduled as part of the Rincón de la Victoria Fair. The broadcast will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the pre-match coverage. Municipal Stadium.
    • Fuegirola: Another screen will be set up at the Centro Comercial Miramar in Fuengirola.
    • Estepona: Estepona has set up two giant screens in the main football stadium, the Estadio Francisco Muñoz Pérez. 

    Seville

    Two giant screens will be set up in the Andalusian capital for the World Cup final:

    • The San Pablo Sports Centre (free access)
    • Plaza de España, which will be a ticketed event.

    Valencia

    There will be several screens in Valencia city this year. 

    • A giant screen will be installed in the Plaza de Ayuntamiento (Town Hall square) to offer a massive broadcast 
    • The Roig Arena will also be opening its doors to fans for the match. To attend, you must download a free ticket in advance from the venue’s website, subject to availability and with a maximum of two tickets per person. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
    • Alicante: A big screen will be installed at the Centro de Tecnificación-Pabellón Pedro Ferrándiz.
    • Benidorm: Fans can enjoy the match on the big screen at Auditorio Julio Iglesias.
    • Torrevieja: The game will be screened at the Teatro Municipal.
    • Dénia: A big screen will be located at the Campo de fútbol Diego Mena.

    Murcia 

    The Ayuntamiento de Murcia will install and giant screen in plaza Cardenal Belluga. 

    Bilbao

     A big screen is being erected at La Pérgola in Doña Casilda Park. 

    San Sebastián

    The city will be hosting the match on a 5×9 metre giant screen at the Ciudad Deportiva de Anoeta with pre-match DJ sets. 

    La Rioja

    In the capital of Logroño, the match will be broadcast at the city’s Palacio de los Deportes. 

    Santiago de Compostela 

    In Galicia a giant screen will once again set up. This time it will be in the city centre at Praza Roxa. 

    Asturias 

    Oviedo: For Sunday’s grand final, the Asturian capital will set up a 16-square-metere screen in Plaza Alfonso II el Castro. There will also be pre-match entertainment featuring a DJ starting at 7:00 p.m.

    Gijón: Fans can watch the match a the Hermanos Castro Park. There will be a giant screen and musical entertainment before the match. The venue will open its doors at 7:00 p.m., and admission is free until capacity is reached.

    Canary Islands

    Tenerife: Santa Cruz will set up a big screen around the city’s port area where the Cook Music Fest is being held. La Laguna has give big screens around the city including in Plaza del Cristo, and Puerto de la Cruz will show the final on a giant screen in Plaza del Charco.

    Gran Canaria: Plaza del Pilar is the chosen spot for the big screen in Las Palmas, the island’s capital. Another choice is the giant screen set up at San Agustín Beach, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.

    Lanzarote: Arrecife City Council broadcast the World Cup final on a giant screen this Sunday in the area of ​​the Parque Temático, where it expects more than 50,000 people to attend.

    Balearic Islands

    Mallorca: More than 20,000 people are expected to watch the game outdoors on giant screens at Son Fusteret, Palma de Mallorca’s most iconic open-air event venue. There will even be a dedicated fan zone for Argentinian supporters. Another option for those who prefer to watch the final in Palma is the Porto Pi Fan Zone. Calvià Town Hall has also joined the celebration and will set up a giant screen in Son Caliu.

    Menorca: Mahón (Esplanada Square) and Alaior (main town hall square) will set up a giant screen to watch the World Cup final on Sunday.

    Ibiza: You can watch the final on a big screen in Ibiza Town in the Plaça d’Antoni Albert i Nieto, in San Antonio along the Passeig de ses Fonts promenade by the marina, in Santa Eulària in their Plaza de España or in Sant Joan at Plaza de Sant Miquel.
