Ginger Zee has become known for a certain look on Good Morning America. However, during a recent share on social media, she had a bit of an admission, with photos to prove it. Notably, this came out after Zee discussed comments she’s been getting on social media.
Ginger Zee Has Been Part Of Good Morning America Since 2011
Zee first joined Good Morning America in 2011 as the weekend weather anchor. By 2013, she was promoted to Chief Meteorologist for the program and the weather editor for ABC News.
During her time on the morning show, Zee is known for sticking with her tried-and-true looks. In fact, she recently explained some of her fashion choices on social media.
In a recent Instagram post, Zee admitted that she’s an outfit repeater on the morning show, explaining why her looks might seem familiar at times. In fact, she admitted that it’s been a while since she’s bought a new outfit. She shared, “If you think data and facts about heat get people all worked up… imagine their disdain when I emphasize my anti-consumerism practice of going 4+ years without buying new clothing.”
In the post, Zee showcased a yellow dress that she wore during multiple episodes of Good Morning America. One tell-tale sign that this wasn’t from the same episode was that her hair was done up in different ways throughout the image. She noted, “Dress today is an oldie but a goodie I’ve had for at least 8 years. #nonewclothes.”
Fans Complimented Zee On Her Look In Response To Her More Recent Post
The post followed another one Zee shared earlier this year where she showed off screenshots of insulting comments she received on social media over her look. Such comments included “Ellie May?! Who chose that outfit?!” and “Stop wearing pants!!!”
For her part, Zee shared, “Appreciate that you have an opinion— I just don’t always agree. And that’s ok— thank you for watching.” In addition, in the video, she also thanked fans who have instead shared their support, noting that she’s also seen the “positivity.”
