Experience Turks and Caicos has reported its Q2 2026 results, which feature a five percent increase in visitor arrivals year-over-year, and marking the highest total ever recorded for this period.
Building upon strong tourism figures for the start of the year, the destination has now recorded year-over-year increases every month for the first half of 2026. From January through June, the Turks and Caicos Islands welcomed 384,590 stayover visitors (preliminary figures), a six percent increase over the same period in 2025.
Tourism momentum continues to build and meet persistent demand with the announcement of six new direct flight routes across the East Coast with BermudAir and the first-ever nonstop United flight from Denver – all of which further solidify the Turks and Caicos Islands’ position as one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after luxury travel destinations for travellers.
Minister of Tourism, Hon Zhavargo Jolly said that: “The continued growth of the Turks and Caicos Islands is a reflection of the confidence travellers have in our destination and the exceptional experiences delivered by our tourism stakeholders every day.”
And the Minister continued: “As visitor arrivals reach new record highs, new luxury developments come on stream, and air connectivity continues to expand, we remain focused on preserving the qualities that make these islands so special while ensuring tourism continues to create meaningful opportunities for our people. We will continue working closely with our industry partners, law enforcement
agencies and international stakeholders to strengthen visitor safety, enhance the visitor experience, and maintain the Turks and Caicos Islands’ position as one of the world’s premier luxury tourism destinations.”
In 2025, the Turks and Caicos Islands welcomed nearly two million visitors in 2025 and continued that momentum into 2026 with increased arrivals and record first-half of the year visitation.
The sustained growth underscores the enduring appeal of the Turks and Caicos Islands among discerning travellers seeking world-class beaches, exceptional resorts and villas, acclaimed culinary experiences, and authentic island culture.
As tourism demand continues to reach new heights, the destination is expanding its hospitality offerings to meet growing visitor interest.
So far in 2026, it has added 177 new hotel rooms with the opening of Hotel Indigo by IHG just steps from Grace Bay Beach, Treasure Beach Village at Beaches® Turks & Caicos, and 20 bespoke suites at Ellipse Grace Bay; and it will add an additional 184 rooms later in 2026 with the opening of The Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay, representing the destination’s first Hyatt-branded property. Additionally, it debuted new culinary experiences at AMBRA at Beach Enclave, Anchorage at Blue Haven Marina, Il Forna at Hotel Indigo, and Salina at Ellipse.
Further supporting this growth is a significant expansion in airlift through BermudaAir, including service to Providenciales from Toronto along with from a number of U.S. gateways.
Also from Canada, new service includes Porter Airlines offering seasonal non-stop service to Providenciales from Toronto (YYZ) starting Nov. 6, 2026 and from Ottawa (YOW) beginning Dec. 17, 2026.
