Save the world, bring your friends and John Cena certainly does that in the new Trailer for action comedy Matchbox: The Movie.
Yesterday was a busy day once again at San Diego Comic Con, especially Apple TV. As it’s says on the tine, YES this film is inspired by the iconic toy cars we used to get in card boxes. Now owned by Mattel toys who have had already got Toy movie adaptations like Barbie, Masters of The Universe. This trailer suggests Matchbox Toy cars is the only connection between longtime friends and it’s Cena’s character takes them on that unexpected journey.
Matchbox: The Movie sees a group of childhood friends who reunite as adults for what they thought was a fun night. Sean (Cena) his job gets in the way, He’s an undercover CIA Agents, seeing his friends embroiled in globetrotting adventure.
This one is directed by Samuel Hargrave who directed the Extraction films starring Chris Hemsworth. The film will have the action, can it deliver the comedy?
The film also stars , Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Corey Stoll, Danai Gurira, Bill Camp, plus Golshifteh Farahani.

Matchbox: The Movie won’t be heading to the big screen, it’s going direct to Apple TV It will be streaming globally from 9th October.
