Brooke Baldwin, known for her previous work with CNN, recently found herself a topic of discussion with Megyn Kelly. Since then, Baldwin has issued a response to her comments. Soon, a back-and-forth began to take place between the two commentators.
Megyn Kelly Recently Discussed Brooke Baldwin With Members Of The Ruthless Podcast
Baldwin is a journalist and television presenter who previously worked for CNN from 2008 to 2021. During this time, she hosted CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin from 2014 to 2021.
Baldwin recently became a topic of discussion on Megyn Kelly’s podcast. Much like Baldwin herself, Kelly is also known for hosting a number of Fox News programs.
Speaking with the hosts of the “manosphere” podcast Ruthless, Kelly said that Baldwin used to be a “serious news anchor.” However, she now claimed, “Her work and her mission include banging four men in a month.”
Kelly appeared to be talking about a recent Substack share from Baldwin. However, within context, Baldwin talked about declining propositions. She shared, “Turned them all down. Every. Single. One.”
Baldwin Responded To The Comments, Leading To A Back-&-Forth Of Sorts Between The Two
Following Kelly’s comments, Baldwin addressed them in a follow-up post. As she shared at the time, “My last Substack was not about me having casual sex. It was about me choosing not to. It was about heartbreak. Discipline. Discernment. Protecting my energy while I build something bigger than myself.”
Baldwin continued, “And yet, for nearly nine minutes, Megyn framed an entire discussion around a false account of my sex life and my bodily choices.” She also highlighted that this was “alongside three men who cackled, laughed, and berated me.”
Kelly herself also responded to Baldwin’s own comments. Admitting that she hadn’t read the prior post, she walked back her incorrect claim. However, she also continued to criticize her.
Kelly noted, “Brooke Baldwin was a CNN anchor for over 10 years. We played some of this yesterday, in which she — she has a Substack now in which she’s bragging about casual sex. And how she had the opportunity to sleep with four men this past month.”
However, Kelly continued, “Well, as it turns out, we should have paid to read the rest of her stupid Substack, which we didn’t, because, who gives a s*** about Brooke Baldwin, to be honest? And in the paid pieces of the article, she confesses she actually did not have casual sex with these men! It was all just a teaser to get you to pay to listen to her lame recitations about her life.”
Since then, as noted by Mediaite, Baldwin herself discussed Kelly’s further comments in a recent Sunday piece. Acknowledging Kelly correcting herself, she shared, “Even if I were to believe she didn’t read my full piece, this is an admission that failed to satisfy the most basic standards of journalism. Talk about a reckless disregard for the truth.”
