A single ticket sold in Florida matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing to claim an estimated $800 million Mega Millions jackpot, the 10th-largest prize in the game’s history, Mega Millions announced Wednesday morning.

The jackpot grew into the largest Mega Millions prize the game had awarded since Georgia’s $983 million Mega Millions win in November after no ticket matched all six numbers in the July 24 drawing. Officials confirmed Tuesday’s winning numbers were 34, 48, 49, 59 and 70, with a Mega Ball of 12, and the jackpot carries a $344.2 million cash value, according to a Mega Millions news release. As of Wednesday morning, officials had not yet disclosed where the winning ticket was sold.

The win marks the third Mega Millions jackpot claimed so far in 2026, following a $536 million prize won in Illinois in March and a $60 million jackpot claimed in Ohio on St. Patrick’s Day. Two other players also cashed in during Tuesday’s drawing: a New York ticket holder won a $3 million Match 5 prize, and an Illinois ticket holder won $5 million, according to a report from the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Florida Lottery rules give the winner 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize. To secure the one-time cash option instead of the 30-year annuity, the winner must elect it within 60 days of the drawing — if that window passes without a choice, the prize defaults to the annuity. The jackpot has since reset to $50 million ahead of the next drawing, scheduled for Friday at 11 p.m. ET.

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 each and now include a built-in multiplier that boosts non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times, eliminating the need to pay extra for the “Megaplier” add-on. The game’s all-time record remains the $1.602 billion jackpot won in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023.

As of Wednesday morning, the Powerball jackpot stood at an estimated $663 million with a $290.4 million cash option ahead of that night’s drawing, after no ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing, according to a People report.
