Team Falcons, BoomBoys, Team Spirit, Iron Wing and Team Yandex all advanced to the playoffs with elimination-round victories Sunday at The International 2026 in Shanghai.
Sixteen teams began the 15th annual Dota 2 tournament on Thursday. The crowd-funded prize pool has a base of $1.6 million and a current value of $3.02 million.
The top three finishers in the Swiss-system moved on to the playoffs and the bottom three were eliminated. The 10 teams in fourth place to 13th place headed to the elimination round, where the five winners advanced to the playoffs.
The double-elimination Main Event playoff bracket will run from Aug. 20-23 with all matches best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final.
On Sunday, Team Falcons made quick work of Vici Gaming in sweep, with a 41-minute win on red and a 43-minute win on green.
BoomBoys also posted a sweep, taking out Aurora Gaming with a 59-minute win on green and a 37-minute win on red.
Team Spirit opened with a 30-minute win on green against Team Resilience, which tied the match with a 49-minute win on green. Team Spirit then pulled out the victory with a 40-minute win on red.
Iron Wing took care of business against GamerLegion, notching a sweep with back-to-back wins on red in 37 minutes and 34 minutes.
Team Yandex fell behind against LGD Gaming, which opened with a 31-minute win on green, but bounced back with consecutive wins on green in 39 minutes and red in 68 minutes.
