Alongside the announcement, the band shared the wavy, desert-singed single “Insignificant Other.”

“It’s a song about distance,” says frontman Josh Homme. “About how someone can be your entire world only to simply vanish. And about the strange vertigo of being on the receiving end of that.”
Produced by Homme and bassist Michael Shuman, Perfecth features nine songs exploring different forms of love and the ways they can alternately break and rebuild us. The album was recorded during sessions spanning New Orleans and Los Angeles.
“Every song sounds like it’s from a different world,” Homme says. “And that’s on purpose, because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that.”
The title reflects the Japanese art of kintsugi, in which broken pottery is repaired with gold, treating its fractures as part of its beauty rather than something to hide.
“Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be ‘perfecth,’” Homme explains. “And that title is funny when you’re in a group, but it ain’t so funny when you’re alone.”
The band also released a Chapman Baehler-directed announcement video starring Big Chongus as the embodiment of “perfecth,” joined by some furry friends.
Perfecth follows 2023’s In Times New Roman… and includes the previously released Nikki Lane collaboration “Easy Street.” It will be available digitally and on CD, standard black vinyl, indie-exclusive clear vinyl and a limited deluxe edition featuring handwritten lyrics, stationery, stamps, and bespoke artwork.
Queens of the Stone Age will resume their North American stadium tour with Foo Fighters Sept. 15, followed by headlining dates in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore. Additional 2027 shows are expected to be announced soon.
