RHOA alum Kim Zolciak’s son, 15, was arrested on sexual battery charges. A female classmate made allegations that K.J. Biermann sexually assaulted her at the local gym. He was arrested on charges of sexual battery and sodomy. The teenager, who is being tried as an adult, was sent to a cushy jail while awaiting the next court date.
Kim Zolciak’s Son Faces Serious Sexual Battery Allegations
Kim Zolciak has been embroiled in a bitter divorce with former NFL player Kroy Biermann since 2023. Both have made allegations of child abuse or neglect as they fought for custody of their six children. The former couple welcomed four children together – KJ, 15; Kash, 14; and twins Kaia and Kane, 12. Kroy Biermann legally adopted Kim Zolciak’s daughters Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24.
Ariana has continued her mother’s legacy on Bravo as a star of Next Gen NYC. However, the younger children largely stay out of the public eye. So, it was quite shocking when news of K. J. Biermann’s arrest broke. Kim Zolciak spoke out in support of her son.
The alleged victim’s claims against K. J. Biermann were quite explicit. He allegedly forced her to perform oral sex, among other sexual acts. Despite being a minor, his mugshot was released, and he was denied bond. However, the jail he was sent to sounds more like a luxury spa than a detention center.
K. J. Biermann, 15, Sent To Cushy Jail Amid Charges
K. J. Biermann returns to court on Tuesday, September 1. In the meantime, he’s being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The 200-bed facility is where youth are held while awaiting court appearances. Glenn Allen, a director with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, revealed the detention center’s purpose to Page Six.

“Youth at our detention centers follow a daily schedule that provides structure, accountability, education and chances for positive growth,” Glenn Allen said. “While schedules may vary by facility, programming needs, and security, each day is arranged to maintain a safe, structured environment that supports education and rehabilitation.”
The structured environment includes three meals a day, and educational lessons. Detainees also have access to “room for visitation, worship services, mentoring, music and creative arts, life-skills sessions and group counseling,” as well as barber services.
Detainees have choices for meals. Breakfast options include “cinnamon toast, a filled pastry, a hard-boiled egg and yogurt or scrambled eggs with pancakes and bacon,” according to the outlet. Lunch can include chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and more.

But things get really fancy at dinner time. The menu includes “sriracha chicken with spring rolls, Salisbury steak with gravy, lemon-pepper wings, chicken drumsticks, baked rotini and country-fried steak,” plus dessert.
The court case against K. J. Biermann has a long way to go. It could be dismissed on September 1 or continue through the justice system.
