The Cubs have designated left-hander Hoby Milner for assignment, reports Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. It’s not currently known why Milner has been cut from the roster but the club has already started today’s game. Milner is on the 15-day injured list and perhaps has been cut from the roster to open a 40-man spot for a waiver claim.
