Today Star Sheinelle Jones Shares Three Children With Her Late Spouse, Uche Ojeh
Sheinelle initially joined Today back in 2014, originally as part of Weekend Today. She has had multiple roles on the program over the years. Earlier this year, she became Jenna Bush Hager’s permanent co-host on Today’s fourth hour.
In her personal life, Sheinelle shares three children with her late husband, Uche Ojeh, who passed away in 2025 after battling aggressive glioblastoma. These are two sons, Kayin and Uche, and a daughter, Clara.
In a recent share on social media, Sheinelle honored her son, Kayin, as he was celebrating a big birthday: he was turning 17 years old.
As Sheinelle wrote in the post, “17 years ago today – this beautiful, inquisitive, passionate, innately musical, witty, resilient, athletic, loving and kind boy entered our world.” She continued, “Kayin … I’m here for you always and forever. Love you so much. Happy 17th Birthday!!!!”
Sheinelle Shared A Few Childhood Photos Of Her Son, Kayin, Starting With A Pic Of Mother & Son Dressed To The Nines
The carousel point opened up with a black-and-white photo of the mother and son dressed to kill. Sheinelle appeared to be wearing an elegant black dress with her son in a suit and bowtie.
This was followed by a bunch of childhood photos of Kayin. The final photo showed him having fun at the beach.
Taking to the comments, fans wished Kayin a happy birthday. Of course, followers also paid the proud mother a few compliments her way. Some comments included:
