After all they toured together in the ’80s and ’90s.Ahead of the upcoming Shane MacGowan tribute album “20th Century Paddy” (dropping this November), U2 released their cover of The Pogues’ 1988 track “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah.” Rather than overproducing it for stadium crowds, the band leans into the loose, four-on-the-floor punk energy that made the original such an unexpected wild card in The Pogues’ catalog.Honoring MacGowan by the U2 was one of the highlight new releases this week.
