Of course, this can also happen when things are prerecorded. Recently, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones were even able to show off their reactions to an accident on the show.
Today‘s Fourth Hour Recently Got Off To A Rough Start, Right After Jenna Introduced The Show
Today originally premiered its fourth hour back in 2007 with a focus on entertainment and fashion. The series has seen a number of co-hosts over the years, with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones being the most recent permanent co-hosts. Normally, the series airs live, although Friday episodes are typically prerecorded.
However, the fourth hour didn’t get off to the best start during a recent episode of the show. In fact, things took a turn right during the intro.
A camera operator for the program appeared to trip over a chair early on, just after Jenna Bush Hager introduced the show. He reportedly seemed to be okay, but Jenna Bush Hager seemed to be concerned. She shared, “Are you okay over there?”
Jones admitted, “I was going to try to just [keep going.]” Jenna replied, “We should keep going! [But] we got to show what just happened. Don’t take us off. Keep us on the air.”

Turning to the audience, Jenna claimed that her co-worker was “unfortunately” walking backwards when he accidentally ran into the chair. She noted, “This is the hazard of the job. Now, the good news is, if you go back, I think our shot was pretty steady.”
Jenna and Sheinelle, as well as the rest of the crew, clapped for the camera operator. Jenna shared praise, adding, “You almost fell backwards, and yet you kept that camera [still.]” Jones added, “No one missed a beat. But it makes me realize that, like, am I missing a chip? Because we were going to keep this show going.”
For her part, Jones felt that it was okay to keep going when she saw her co-worker get up. Commending Jenna, she shared, “But you showed some humanity, like, ‘Are you okay?’”
Jenna assured that the camera operator was fine and that she had “just wanted to make sure he didn’t injure himself.” Jones joked, “Meanwhile, I’m like, ‘Get up! Let’s go!’ No, I’m just kidding.” Jenna also felt that the moment highlighted how hard the crew works every day. She quipped, “They also put up with all of our antics, which are real annoying.”
