President Trump said Sunday that he will report “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker to the Federal Communications Commission “for rebuke or punishment” for reporting that his endorsements rendered “mixed results” in recent Republican primaries.

In social media posts, the president called on the FCC to “take this Threat to our country very seriously” and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr to address “FAKE POLLS.”

Mr. Trump posted statistics showing that 98.35% of his endorsed candidates for House and Senate seats won their 2026 primaries. The stats, the president said, contradict Ms. Welker’s assertion of “mixed results” that she made to an NBC affiliate.

“How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves? Results are attached. Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment,” Mr. Trump posted on Truth Social.

He said that 100% of his endorsed Senate candidates won; that his support of Sen. Darline Graham, who won the South Carolina GOP primary to succeed her late brother, Lindsey Graham, “is, without question, the strongest Endorsement in the history of politics”; and that Ms. Graham would not have won without it.

Mr. Trump said his endorsement of businessman Mike Mazzei helped him achieve a narrow victory over Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond in the state’s GOP primary for governor last week.

“The Press is a Disgrace to our Nation, and I hope that Chairman Brendan Carr, and the fine people of his Commission, will take this Threat to our Country very seriously,” Mr. Trump posted.

In a Sunday morning exchange with an NBC affiliate, Ms. Welker said Mr. Trump is “going to loom large over these midterms. There’s no doubt about that. He, of course, has endorsed a slate of candidates in the primaries. He’s had some mixed results, but most recently, his pick of Senator Darline Graham, of course, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, was successful in her primary battle, so now she takes on Dr. Annie Andrews in South Carolina.”

An NBC spokesperson told The Washington Times that “Kristen is one of the best in the business and we stand by her.”

Several high-profile candidates endorsed by Mr. Trump lost their races, including South Carolina Gov. Pamela Evette, who was running for the GOP nomination for governor, and Randy Feenstra, who lost the GOP primary for governor in Iowa.

Mr. Trump posted an additional message, in all capital letters and aimed at Mr. Carr, about polls — some of which show his approval ratings in the 30s.

“The fake polls used by our crooked media are out of control, and something must be done about it. FCC to the rescue! President DJT,” the president posted.
