Erin Napier is best known to many for her work on HGTV shows, starting with Home Town. However, she’s been involved with all sorts of ventures over the years. Recently, she opened up about a project with fans to help get them excited for an upcoming holiday season.
HGTV Star Erin Napier Recently Shared A Follow-Up To A Previous Project
Erin is a designer and entrepreneur who is known to many through her HGTV series, Home Town, in which she co-stars along with her husband, Ben. Over the years, fans have also seen the show branch off into spin-offs, including Home Town Takeover.
Erin is known for a number of other ventures. After all, she is the co-owner of Laurel Mercantile Co. and Scotsman Co., which focuses on American-made furniture and other goods.
Recently, Napier teased a new project on social media. Taking to Instagram, she revealed that she just wrote a new children’s book and it’s a holiday-themed sequel.
As Erin explained, “I have a new book coming. It’ll be in stores everywhere soon, but it’s a companion to The Lantern House that Adam Trest and I have been working on for the last year or so.” She then held up a cover of The Christmas House.
Erin then explained the meaning of the book’s story. She continued, “It’s about how our Christmas traditions keep the people we love alive forever, and about how our houses are the keepers of our traditions at Christmas, and our houses know everything about the things that are special to us at that time of year. So, it’s extremely special.”
Erin Revealed That Fans Who Pre-Order The Book Will Get A Signed Copy
As Erin noted, fans can pre-order the book through her and Ben Napier’s Laurel Mercantile store. Those who do so can get a signed copy from her and Trest, who illustrated the book. Erin continued, “It should be in stores everywhere October 6, so you can pick one up at your local bookstore, online, anywhere you like to buy books.” Getting into the holiday spirit a bit early, she wished fans a “Merry Christmas!”
In the post’s caption, Erin noted that she and Trest really went “deep into” their “feelings” while working on the book. She added, “For every child who is ready to decorate on November 1 and every adult who is missing someone irreplaceable at Christmas time.”

Taking to the comments, fans also expressed their excitement over the project. Some also shared a few Christmas traditions of their own. A few even shared an update concerning the supply of the books. Some comments included:
- “I immediately went to pre-order, but its showing sold out already.”
- “Love this message. My parents passed and the traditions and memories of Christmases past are what keeps them with me every holiday. As an only child, it’s hard to be the only one still around who remembers.”
- “I just ordered one! I also have The Lantern House. I keep it in my classroom and read it to my students.”
- “I can’t wait to read it to my kids (but I will have tissues ready this time. The Lantern House caught me unprepared on the inaugural read!)”
- “Lovely! As a Santa woodcarver, my biggest thrill is knowing my carvings are part of a family’s Christmas tradition!”
