Downtown Las Vegas properties Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino are celebrating the success of their “At Par” promotion, which delivered a significant boost in Canadian tourism.
By treating $1 CAD as $1 USD, the offer welcomed more than 120,000 Canadian visitors, driving an 80 percent increase in Canadian visitation, more than $20 million in slot coin-in and over 8,000 hotel room nights.
CEO Derek Stevens said that: “Canadian travellers have always been an important part of downtown Las Vegas, and At Par reinforced just how strong that connection is.”
Stevens continued: “We created the offer to deliver meaningful value while encouraging guests to experience everything our properties and the surrounding destination have to offer. The response exceeded our expectations and showed that the right combination of value, flexibility and a uniquely downtown experience can have a tremendous impact.”
Kicking off in January and concluding in August, At Par’s strong results underscored the continued importance of the Canadian market to downtown Las Vegas and the demand for value-driven experiences that make visiting the destination even more appealing.
During the promotion window, Canadian guests were able to enjoy a variety of exclusive offers across Circa, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate, including:
- Hotel Deals: Canadian guests staying at Circa, the D or Golden Gate could receive the At Par rate at check-in, paying the same amount shown in U.S. dollars – charged directly in Canadian dollars – with no exchange rate applied.
- Beverage Offerings: The At Par program extended to select beverage venues, including BarCanada at the D Las Vegas – a hockey-forward sports bar paying tribute to Canada – as well as Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition! at Golden Gate. Eligible Canadian guests could redeem At Par beverage pricing multiple times per visit after verifying Canadian identification.
- Gaming Promotions: Canadian guests could redeem up to $500 CAD in slot promotional play, treated at full U.S. dollar value, by visiting Club One at Circa, the D or Golden Gate by presenting a valid Canadian passport or government-issued ID.
- Free Open Bar for Canada vs. Morocco Watch Party: For the world soccer championship, BarCanada at the D hosted an open-bar watch party for the Canada vs. Morocco match on July 4. Guests who wore Canada colours received the free open bar.
- Free Finger Eleven Show and Meet and Greet: As part of its Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series, Fremont Street Experience featured Canadian rock band Finger Eleven on June 27. The band also held a meet-and-greet at BarCanada after their show.
- Excision at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center Concert: Canadian DJ Excision headlined two nights at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center April 24-25. Canadian fans were able to purchase tickets at the At Par rate.
- Tunnel B-B-Q Sauce Tasting by Valerie’s Original Flavours: Growing up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Stevens was just across the river from Canada, where he frequently visited friends and family. One of his favourite spots was Tunnel B-B-Q, a restaurant that became a familiar part of his connection to Canada. After seeing the At Par campaign, Tunnel B-B-Q and Valerie’s Original Flavours brought their sauces to Las Vegas for a special tasting with Derek, in collaboration with Circa’s Project BBQ Carolina barbecue food truck.
Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, Circa, the D, Golden Gate and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center continue to lead with innovative, guest-first initiatives that pair bold ideas with authentic hospitality.
