Kelly Osbourne was born in London, England. She spent her childhood traveling back and forth between the UK and the U.S. while her famous father toured. The family established a primary residence in California when MTV picked up The Osbournes reality show. Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter got engaged at his final show in 2025. However, now the relationship is over. The DWTS alum opened up about her decision to flee the U.S. with her young son, 3, amid drama with her ex, Sid Wilson.
Sid Wilson Kicked Out Of Band After 28 Years
Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson first met in 1999 when Slipknot performed at Ozzfest. They stayed friends for years before taking a chance at romance in 2022. They welcomed a son, Sidney, that same year. Ozzy Osbourne performed one final show with Black Sabbath in July, just weeks before his death. Sid Wilson proposed to Kelly Osbourne backstage during the event.
The couple split in early 2026 after four years together. He was booted from Slipknot a few months later. News of Sid Wilson’s departure was revealed at the end of July. However, the band didn’t officially confirm it until August, after the DJ was still publicly identifying as a band member. The reason for his exit wasn’t given. However, Kelly Osbourne hinted that something was going on with her ex.
Kelly Osbourne Flees The U.S. With Son, 3, After Drama With Ex
Kelly Osbourne has never really addressed what led to the end of her engagement. However, she recently made several social media posts that many assumed were aimed at her ex. In one post, she told an unnamed person to “wake the f**k up” and that she couldn’t save them from themselves.
In another since-deleted post, she asked for her dogs back and child support for her son, Sidney. Kelly Osbourne never mentioned Sid Wilson by name, but it seemed pretty obvious who the intended target was. In a shocking move, the reality star has since fled the U.S. and returned to her home in the UK. She opened up about the decision to Hello! magazine.

“Being home in the UK has changed a lot for me. It’s been great to be home, and making a life for me and my son where I can see he’s truly happy,” she said about the decision. Kelly Osbourne’s childhood best friend lives in the UK and now their kids are friends, too.
She also cited a problem in the U.S. that doesn’t happen in the UK. “I don’t ever want to have to explain to my son what to do during a gun raid. That’s the realistic thing that you have to do in schools in America, and to me, that’s insanity,” Kelly Osbourne said about the rising gun violence in U.S. schools.

A Mourning Period
Her father’s death also played a role in her decision to return to the UK. Kelly Osbourne described the year since her father’s death as the “hardest” in her life. It was made worse by relentless online bullying over her thin appearance.
“Everything has changed, but it’s just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work,” Kelly Osbourne said about the grief of losing her beloved father.
She sounds happier and healthier than she has in a while. Stay tuned for more updates about her life overseas.
