    ACTA names regional advisory committee chairs, vice-chairs for 2026

    ACTA names regional advisory committee chairs, vice-chairs for 2026

    ACTA has announced the Chairs and Vice-Chairs for its 2026 Regional Advisory Committees.

    The association also extended “its sincere congratulations to all appointees and expresses deep gratitude for their leadership, commitment, and service to the Canadian travel agency and travel advisor community.”

    ACTA’s Regional Advisory Committees play a vital role in representing members across the country, supporting advocacy efforts, and providing valuable insights that help shape the future of Canada’s travel industry. The 2026 committee leaders will guide regional engagement, collaboration, and strategic initiatives throughout the year.

    2026 Regional Advisory Committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs are as follows:

    British Columbia and Yukon

    Chair: Mark Greenwood, Travel Masters

    Vice-Chair: Kimberly Wood, Maritime Travel

    Alberta and Northwest Territories

    Chair: Peter Keyter, South Travel Inc.

    Vice-Chair: Shelly Ewing, CTC, Tier One Travel

    Manitoba and Saskatchewan

    Manitoba

    Co-Chair: Mary Jane Hiebert, CTC, Oyster Travel

    Co Vice-Chair: Melanie Carter, CTM, Carmel Escapes

    Saskatchewan

    Co-Chair: Jamie Milton, CTM, UNIGLOBE Carefree Travel

    Co Vice-Chair: Karen Schabel, CTM, CAA Saskatchewan

    Ontario

    Chair: Maria da Cunha, CTC, daCunha Voyages Inc.

    Vice-Chair: Jacqueline Mizon, La Salle Travel Services

    Québec

    Chair: Véronique Capra, Passion Monde, Voyages Bergeron

    Vice-Chair: Serge H. Malaison, Voyages Centaures

    Atlantic Canada

    Chair: Scott Stone, CTC, Universal Travel

    Vice-Chair: Paulette Solomon, The Travel Store/The Travel Clinic

    The Regional Advisory Committees will be supported by internal ACTA representatives working closely with each region. Fiona Bowen, Senior Manager, Membership, is responsible for Ontario and Atlantic Canada. Yacine Bimich, Membership Manager (Bilingual), is the ACTA lead for Québec. Lesley Berry, Membership Manager, serves as the point person for British Columbia and Yukon; Alberta and the Northwest Territories; and Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

    Suzanne Acton-Gervais, President of ACTA, said that: “When we work closely with our members across the country, we achieve the strongest outcomes for Canada’s travel agencies and advisors. Our Regional Advisory Committees play a critical role in ensuring we stay connected to the needs of our members, share information effectively across regions, and advocate with a unified and informed voice.”

    ACTA also thanked all incoming and returning committee leaders for their dedication and willingness to serve. Their expertise and regional perspectives are essential to advancing ACTA’s mission to support, advocate for, and elevate Canada’s travel agencies and independent travel advisors.
