Samsung confirms its plans to roll out AirDrop support over Quick Share starting with the Galaxy S26 series today in South Korea.

Samsung shared details with 9to5Google about the launch, informing the publication that it will first launch in Korea, followed by the U.S. later in the week. Other regions, including North America, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, will also get the update. We’ve reached out to Samsung Canada regarding specific details.

More Galaxy devices will get AirDrop over Quick Share support later on; however, the company hasn’t released specific details.

To turn on AirDrop over Quick Share, you’ll need to head into Settings > Connected Devices  > Quick Share > Share with Apple devices. For AirDrop between Samsung and iPhone handsets, the iPhone user will need to enable the “Everyone” mode and vice versa.

Originally, AirDrop over Quick Share launched on the Pixel 10 devices and then later expanded to the Pixel 9 series, but it’s great to see that it’s also coming to Samsung’s flagship lineup. AirDrop over Quick Share is also coming to Oppo devices and likely more Android handsets throughout the year.
