In the clip, Bynes teased that she’s stepping back into the studio and continuing her push into music, telling her followers, “What’s up, everybody. I wanted to make a quick post just to let you know I’m going back into the studio tomorrow to work on my song ‘girlfriend.’ I’m so excited to see how it turns out and I really can’t wait for you all to hear it as well.”

Amanda Bynes’ latest music tease comes after she made headlines last year for joining OnlyFans, a move she insisted wasn’t about adult content. As The Blast reported in April 2025, Bynes had signed up for the platform to connect with fans in a non-sexual way. At the time, she emphasized she planned to use OnlyFans primarily for its chat feature, making it clear she wasn’t interested in posting “sleazy content.”

A source also noted Bynes planned to use the platform to spotlight her skills as a fashion designer, positioning it as more of a fan hub than a typical OnlyFans page.

Bynes has been candid about when she says her substance use first started, and the point where she feels things spiraled. The former Nickelodeon star previously revealed she began using marijuana at 16, but said it was when she started taking Adderall, a medication prescribed for ADHD, that her problems really began.

Looking back on her time filming “Hall Pass” in 2011, Bynes described how she was using the pills on set, saying, “When I was doing [2011 film] ‘Hall Pass,’ I remember being in the trailer and I used to chew the Adderall tablets because I thought they made me [more] high [that way]. I remember chewing on a bunch of them and literally being scatterbrained and not being able to focus on my lines or memorize them for that matter.”

Not long after, Bynes pulled out of the project, which ultimately became the final film she worked on before stepping away from acting.

Amanda Bynes’ struggles have also included multiple periods of treatment over the years, with the former actress spending time in mental health and sober living facilities as she worked to address substance abuse and ongoing mental health concerns. Those have included both involuntary holds and voluntary stays, with her well-being repeatedly becoming a focus following public incidents and major life transitions.
