Amazon Canada is expanding its Same-Day Delivery windows for Prime members in select parts of Alberta and Ontario.
Starting Feb. 23, Amazon will offer extended daytime delivery and afternoon delivery options to Prime members in Edmonton and Calgary, Alta, and in Southwestern Ontario (though the company didn’t specify where, exactly, in that region).
The extended daytime delivery will now take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., while afternoon delivery will be available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. These new options join Amazon’s existing overnight and evening delivery, which launched in Alberta and Ontario last year.
Amazon says it delivered more than 450 million items to Prime members the same day or the next day last year.
Those interested can learn about Same-Day Delivery on Amazon’s website (though it’s worth noting that if you’re signed in to an Amazon account, that link will just take you to the Same-Day storefront).
Same-Day Delivery is available free to Amazon Prime members on eligible orders over $25. Amazon charges a $6.99 fee for delivery on orders under $25. Those who aren’t subscribed to Prime can still get Same-Day Delivery, but it costs $11.99 per order.
Amazon currently offers a seven-day Prime trial for $0.99. Prime costs $9.99/mo after the trial, or $99 per year. There are also discounted versions of Prime available for students. Along with discounted shipping options, Prime includes other benefits like access to Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service, Amazon Music Prime, Amazon Photos, Amazon Luna game streaming, free DashPass, and more.
