Things Change During Season 24 Of American Idol
Season 24 of American Idol has been different than ever before. A lot of things changed. However, this is all due to Carrie Underwood. She made a lot of changes so that she could be with her family more. Carrie was going to leave the show. However, she made a deal with the production in order to stay. Auditions took place in Nashville, Tennessee. So did Hollywood Week. Also, Carrie was able to take her entire family to Hawaii with her when they went. Fans do not love all the changes as they feel it has made for less talent. This could be the case as Hollywood Week upset a lot of people.
Hollywood Week Labeled As ‘Horrid’, Lacking Talent
Hollywood Week has been labeled as “horrid” after fans thought the contestants lacked talent. This is something that upset a lot of people.
- Potentially some of the worst performances I’ve seen go through on a show like this in a while only saw 4 of the 20 they showed I was like wow ok the rest I was severely disappointed. Also can we stop with the sob stories I understand some peoples stories give them character but maybe later on when you don’t have 120 artists to get through…
- It just seams cruel to give so many false hope and have them travel and take off work when only a fraction can advance after a single performance.
- I’m tired of sob stories. Everyone has problems in life. If I see extra sob stories, I feel the judges like them and they’re moving on since they filmed the person so much.
People were also upset that Khloe Grace was sent home. They felt as though she was one of the more talented artists there and was not given the proper chance.

It seems as though fans are not impressed with many of the contestants this season. However, there may be some good ones that were not showcased on the show. Viewers also wish they would not show so much backstory with each contestant, so they could see more performances. However, this has been said for years. This more than likely will not change.
