Carrie Underwood Negotiates A Lot With Producers
Carrie Underwood is currently judging her second season of American Idol. However, after last season, she had to do a lot of negotiating with the producers. Carrie did not like how much she was away from her family. She considered walking away from the show so she could be around them more. However, now they are doing the auditions in her hometown and “Hollywood Week” as well. She also gets to bring her family to Hawaii when they go. So, she is the reason for a lot of the change this season, it seems.
American Idol Lacks ‘Talent’ As They Go The ‘Cheaper’ Route
Fans are not impressed with American Idol this season. They feel as though it lacks talent, and this is because they are going the ‘cheaper’ route.
- I know I sound like a boomer Dad but I’m very dissatisfied with the level of talent this year, and it’s obvious why
- Talent has to travel to Nashville (which is intimidating
- I agree, this goes against Idol tradition, big time. Overall, there’s probably a smaller pool of contestants who even make it to Hollywood week.
- Just a note— most of the production crew is actually La local! It’s just much cheaper to film here in Nashville
This is something that a lot of fans are not loving. However, there is nothing that can be done about it now. A lot of viewers think it should be Carrie and Luke’s last season. Carrie did not go over with fans like everyone thought she would.

It seems as though fans are not happy with the contestants this season. They feel as though there is some talent. However, it is nothing compared to the seasons prior. Most are blaming this on only filming in Nashville and having shorter auditions. Regardless, fans are not enjoying the show like they used to. This could cause some big trouble for production.
