Apple has revealed that its flagship Montreal store will have a new home on Friday, January 16 at 10 a.m.
On that date, Apple Sainte-Catherine will officially be located in a historic building on the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street and Rue de la Montagne. The heritage building has been around for well over 100 years and was last home to Ardene. La Presse first reported on the plans for the new location, which is just down the street from the old one, back in 2024.
To commemorate the opening of the new Sainte-Catherine location, Apple partnered with Montreal’s Catherine Potvin to create a large-scale illustration that nods to the city’s iconic cultural scene. The artwork, which includes artists, musicians, athletes and chefs using Apple products, will be on display until the grand opening on January 16.
Additionally, Potvin will lead a live art demo on iPad during the opening weekend, and customers who make a purchase will receive an Apple Store gift bag featuring her art. Potvin’s demos will take place on Friday, January 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, January 17, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Sainte-Catherine location is one of five Apple Stores in Quebec alongside those in Brossard, Laval, Pointe-Claire and Quebec City. In total, the company has 28 retail stores across Canada.
