British media group Future Plc has acquired the digital lifestyle magazine SheerLuxe and Blush Talent Mgmt Ltd, its sister influencer talent agency which represents much of SheerLuxe’s staff, the company announced on Thursday.Future Plc paid an initial £39.9 million ($53.9 million) in a cash-free, debt-free agreement for the companies. An earnout contingent on future performance, including continued double-digit EBITDA growth through fiscal 2029 and the continued employment of SheerLuxe’s current management, is capped at £80 million. Alastair McKimm has joined Visual Talent Ltd. as chief creative officer, the British media company known for magazines Wonderland, Man About Town and Rollacoaster announced Thursday. With the appointment, McKimm and Visual Talent Ltd. chairman and chief executive Peter Jones have co-founded Prototype_ magazine and a new creative agency called VTG Studios, which will focus on branded content, partnerships and events. Who What Wear UK announced on Wednesday that Jane McFarland has joined the publication as editor in chief. She will lead the Future Plc-owned digital magazine’s fashion and beauty content, and assumed her position on Tuesday.In her new role, McFarland succeeded and will report to previous longtime editor-in-chief Hannah Almassi, who began a new position at Future Plc as managing director of women’s UK, responsible for overseeing Who What Wear UK and Marie Claire UK, last July. Alo has appointed Benedetta Petruzzo as chief executive of its international operations, the brand announced on Saturday.In her new role, Petruzzo will manage the scale of Alo’s global operations, focusing on client experience, market strategy and brand identity, while centring its wellness category. Will Welch, GQ’s global editorial director and GQ US’s editor in chief, announced on Tuesday that he will be leaving the Condé Nast-owned publication on Feb. 15. The Face editor-in-chief Matthew Whitehouse will be departing the cult British style and culture magazine to assume a new role as head of editorial content and creative at Farfetch, the publication announced on Tuesday.
