SpaceX is beginning to lay the groundwork for an accelerated launch schedule for its Starship spacecraft. The company will begin building a pipeline next month to bring natural gas to its Starbase complex, where it can be processed and converted into liquid methane to fuel the reusable super heavy-lift launch vehicle. Ultimately, that could help the company meet its goal of as many as 25 launches per year, and perhaps allow it to exceed that number. At present, fuel for the rocket has to be transported to the Starbase complex, a process that is both time-consuming and expensive. By running…
Elliot Page is ready to rumble after undergoing some intense boxing training. The Academy Award nominee, 39, revealed via Instagram on Monday, June 29, that stepping into the squared circle with boxing trainer Nolan Hanson got him into peak physical condition, complete with six-pack abs. “I’ve been incredibly fortunate to train with @coachnol,” Page wrote. “He’s a brilliant teacher, not just in the way he breaks down complex movements, but also in his strategic understanding of boxing and his thoughtful approach to the psychological side of the sport.” A video shared by the actor showed him bobbing and weaving in…
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Tom Kean Jr., the New Jersey Republican who’s been away from Congress for almost four months, is expected to re-emerge in public after months of speculation about the unspecified medical condition he says has kept him away from Washington. Kean, 57, a second-term lawmaker and scion of a New Jersey political family, represents a battleground district that includes President Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf club. He’s missed more than 100 votes in Congress this year and hasn’t been seen publicly in Washington or his district despite winning the Republican nomination to serve another term. Kean’s spokesman promised…

Morocco squeezed through to the World Cup round of 16 after prevailing in a dramatic penalty shoot-out against the Netherlands in Monterrey. The game finished 1-1 after 120 minutes of largely Moroccan dominance and it was the 2022 semi-finalists that held their nerve to set up a clash with tournament co-hosts Canada in the next round. The Dutch had played conservatively in extra-time and the African champions were deserving winners in a shoot-out in which they never led until Ismael Saibari slotted home the winning kick. Justin Kluivert, Quinten Timber and Crysencio Summerville all missed for Oranje to leave Saibari…
Colorado’s Democratic primaries on Tuesday will help answer a question the party has increasingly faced nationally: Are voters gravitating toward a younger, more progressive generation of leaders or sticking with established veterans? That choice is starkly reflected in the fight to represent the state’s 1st Congressional District, where incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette has been in office for as long as her challenger, a 29-year-old democratic socialist named Melat Kiros, has been alive. Likewise in the U.S. Senate race, Sen. John Hickenlooper has spent nearly three times as many years in public office as his challenger, state Sen. Julie Gonzales, who…
ATLANTA (AP) — President Donald Trump has tried many ways to tighten his grip on U.S. elections, from signing executive orders to pushing restrictive legislation in Congress. Monday’s Supreme Court ruling siding with states that accept late-arriving mail ballots was the latest example showing the limits of his reach. It followed back-to-back rulings last week that barred his two sweeping executive orders seeking to change national election rules, more court rulings preventing his Department of Justice from obtaining detailed state voter data and his stalled attempts to get the Senate to pass the SAVE Act. That measure would eliminate nearly…
AI-related job loss fears grow each time another company announces a round of layoffs. Through May of 2026, companies announced that close to 90,000 job cuts were tied to AI, and, by some accounts, up to 15% of U.S. jobs are projected to be eliminated by AI over the next five years. Promises from the tech industry that AI will also create new jobs does little to ease fears, especially for the generation wondering if anyone will be hiring when they graduate. A recent report from Ramp and Revelio Labs, which track enterprise AI spend and workforce records from nearly…
