Apple released an update for iPhones and iPads on Wednesday that fixed a bug which allowed law enforcement to extract messages that had been deleted or were sent in disappearing mode. Police were able to obtain these messages through notifications, which could be cached for up to one month. As first reported by 404 Media, FBI agents were able to extract Signal messages after they had been deleted in Signal due to the notification glitch. Google plans to invest up to $40 billion in Anthropic and support the AI firm’s growing computing needs, Bloomberg reports. The Alphabet subsidiary is committing to invest $10 billion now, at a $350 billion valuation for Anthropic, with another $30 billion to follow if Anthropic hits certain performance targets, according to Anthropic.  The promise of investment comes after Anthropic released its latest model, Mythos, to a limited group of partners this month.
