Bar Rescue is returning for a tenth season. Jon Taffer is back, already promising a return to earlier seasons. Recently, Taffer himself spoke about what fans can expect with the new season.
Bar Rescue‘s Season 10 Will Return To Its Roots After An Experimental Last Season
Bar Rescue is a reality series that currently airs on Paramount Network. It stars entrepreneur Jon Taffer, who offers expertise to help renovate bars in danger of closing.
The series originally premiered back in 2011. More recently, the show is set to premiere its tenth season, with Taffer returning to the show.
Previously, the ninth season featured a number of guest-hosts filling in for Taffer for a few episodes. However, as previously reported, he assured fans that this wouldn’t be the case for Season 10, sharing, “It’s all me this season,” on social media.
This season, which premieres on February 22, is expected to feature celebrity guests, like Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC fame and pro wrestler and actress Mercedes Varnado, also known as “Mercedes Moné.” The season will also feature the crew going to places like Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
Just ahead of this new season, Taffer himself spoke with TV Insider to share what fans can expect. When asked what the season meant to him, he noted, “It’s so rewarding to me. Think about it: I get this hug at the end of every episode that means the world to me.” He even shared that there were couples who told him that his getting involved with their lives helped save their relationship.

Taffer also touched on some of the guest stars who will appear in this season. When describing Mercedes, he shared, “She comes in with this female perspective and toughness that I just love. She was terrific in Bar Rescue.” He also highlighted that Chris, with his musical background, “has traveled the world and spent a lot of time in bars and such.” Taffer felt that together, “They have a great customer perspective.”
The returning host also shared what fans can expect from the premiere episode. It will focus on a retired police officer and his wife and daughters, who feel that they are in a hopeless situation with their bar.
Noting that the episode is an emotional one, Taffer shared, “I recommend everyone have a box of tissues next to them.” As the outlet noted, he also described the episode as “a good example of what’s to come.”
