Barcelona v Real Betis: Line-ups, stats and preview

La Liga champions Barcelona return to Camp Nou on Sunday night as they take on Real Betis in their penultimate match of the 2025-26 campaign.

Hansi Flick’s side saw their 11-match winning run in the league come to an end with a surprise 1-0 defeat to Alaves on Wednesday, while Betis arrive in Catalonia having already secured Champions League qualification for next season.

Barcelona wrapped up the title with a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid earlier this month, but despite that setback, Flick’s side have still produced a remarkable domestic campaign and remain unbeaten at home in La Liga this season, winning all 18 of their matches at Camp Nou.

But Betis have also performed well away from home, collecting 24 points from 18 league games on the road.

However, they have struggled in recent meetings with Barcelona and are without a win in this fixture since December 2021.

Team news for Barcelona vs Real Betis

Barcelona remain without Lamine Yamal, who is sidelined for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

The hosts are otherwise close to full strength, with Andreas Christensen back available following his long-term knee issue.

Flick is expected to make several changes after rotating heavily against Alaves, with players such as Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Ferran Torres all likely to return to the starting lineup.

Raphinha is back from suspension and could feature from the bench.

For Betis, Marc Bartra, Angel Ortiz and Aitor Ruibal are unavailable through injury, while Cucho Hernandez and Diego Llorente are suspended.

Cedric Bakambu is expected to lead the line, while former Barcelona winger Abde Ezzalzouli arrives in excellent form after contributing seven goal involvements in his last seven appearances.
