Beiersdorf lowered its outlook for organic sales growth to around 2.5 percent, from a previous target of around 3 percent, with around 2.5 percent growth expected in the consumer segment from a previous target of 3-4 percent.
Shares in Beiersdorf are down nearly a quarter year-to-date, as consumer goods companies struggle amid fragile consumer confidence in major markets and US import tariff pressures.
The company reported group sales in the third quarter of 2025 of 2.35 billion euros, 1.7 percent higher than a year earlier on an organic basis and in line with analysts’ expectations as per data compiled by Vara Research.
Sales of Nivea, the company’s flagship skin and body care brand, fell 0.4 percent organically, while the derma category recorded a 12.4 percent organic rise in sales.
The Hamburg-based company kept its group EBIT margin target of slightly above the previous year’s 13.9 percent unchanged.
