Bell announced a strategic partnership with Coveo, a Canadian company specializing in AI relevance.
According to the two companies, the partnership will aim to “accelerate the modernization of digital services for Canadian federal and provincial governments and regulated industries.”
The partnership will see the companies combine Coveo’s AI-relevance Platform with Bell’s AI Fabric, a full-stack AI offering powered by the telecom giant’s network, cloud capabilities, and data centre infrastructure.
Bell states that Coveo’s platform uses several AI search technologies, such as advanced semantic search, machine learning, generative AI, and contextual relevance, to deliver what it describes as secure, real-time insights across different channels. Bell also notes that the capabilities are designed to support “improved citizen engagement, faster self-service case resolution, reduced operational complexity and greater employee empowerment.”
This collab also builds on Bell and Coveo’s growing role in AI innovation across the Canadian public and private sectors. Recently, Coveo signed a memorandum of understanding with the Canadian Government to “modernize government operations by exploring opportunities to deploy AI-powered experiences.”
With this new partnership, Bell is tapping its technology services division, Ateko, to play a central role in the adoption of the Coveo AI-Relevance platform.
From the press release’s standpoint, this looks to be more focused on offering AI solutions to businesses rather than something that will change things for consumers.
