Beverly Hills 90210 2023 Road Rage Incident
A Beverly Hills 90210 star’s new year didn’t get off to a good start a few years ago. They were involved in a brawl in the middle of a street in Los Angeles, California. Ian Ziering got some jabs in when he was seemingly attacked by a group of bikers after confronting them.
It all happened on New Year’s Eve in 2023. According to the Dancing With The Stars alum, his daughter was in the car with him when bikers on the busy street damaged his vehicle.
“While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders, leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself,” he wrote on Instagram at the time of the incident.
But now one of the bikers involved in the road rage melee has filed a lawsuit accusing the actor of assault and battery.
Ian Ziering Accused Of Assault & Battery
Jacon Hernandez was 20 when the incident with Ian Ziering happened. But he says in a new lawsuit that the situation unfolded very differently from what the 90210 star claimed. According to the biker, Ian Ziering verbally and physically assaulted him during the road rage incident.
According to PEOPLE magazine, Jacon Hernandez said in the court filing that the incident was “completely unprompted.” The biker claimed that Ian Ziering exited his vehicle while yelling at him for no reason. When the biker didn’t respond, the actor allegedly came over and shoved him and a friend to the ground, injuring them and damaging their bikes.
Furthermore, he claimed that the Beverly Hills 90210 star used his fame to twist the narrative, resulting in Jacon Hernandez’s arrest. He was arrested in May 2024 on charges stemming from the road rage incident. Unable to pay the bail, he was reportedly released a month later because the DA had no case.

Jacon Hernandez is seeking compensatory and punitive damages in a jury trial. Ian Ziering has yet to respond to the lawsuit, but social media users have a lot of thoughts on the recent turn of events.
