Tyler Bilodeau scored 21 points and Donovan Dent recorded the first triple-double in Big Ten tournament history, leading sixth-seeded UCLA to a 72-59 victory over 14th-seeded Rutgers in the third round of the Big Ten Conference tournament at Chicago on Thursday.

Dent finished with 12 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds while becoming the fifth player in Bruins history to post a triple-double. Trent Perry also had 12 points and Eric Dailey Jr. added 10 for UCLA (22-10).

The Bruins will face third-seeded and eighth-ranked Michigan State in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Lino Mark put up 17 points as the lone double-digit scorer for the Scarlet Knights (14-19), who had a two-game winning streak halted.

    No. 23 Wisconsin 85, Washington 82

John Blackwell made six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 34 points as the fifth-seeded Badgers eliminated the 12th-seeded Huskies.

Nick Boyd added 23 points and nine assists for the Badgers (23-9), who advanced to a quarterfinal matchup on Friday with fourth-seeded and ninth-ranked Illinois. Wisconsin shot 15 of 39 (38.5%) from 3-point range while Washington hit just 7 of 23 (30.4%) from long distance.

Freshman Hannes Steinbach scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in his 22nd double-double for the Huskies (16-17). Washington’s Zoom Diallo added 24 points and seven assists.

    No. 18 Purdue 81, Northwestern 68

Trey Kaufman-Renn and Oscar Cluff each scored 19 points and Cluff pulled down 10 rebounds as the seventh-seeded Boilermakers eliminated the 15th-seeded Wildcats.

Braden Smith set a Big Ten tournament single-game record with 16 assists for Purdue (24-8), which produced a 38-18 advantage on points in the paint. The Boilermakers, who never trailed, advanced to a quarterfinal showdown against Nebraska.

Nick Martinelli scored a game-high 25 points while Jayden Reid contributed 19 points and nine assists for Northwestern (15-19).

    Ohio State 72, Iowa 69

Bruce Thornton scored 17 of his 24 points after halftime and Christoph Tilly added 16 points to help the Buckeyes edge the Hawkeyes.

Eighth-seeded Ohio State (21-11) withstood a series of late charges from ninth-seeded Iowa (21-12) after leading by 16 in the second half to advance to a quarterfinal matchup with top-seeded rival Michigan. The Hawkeyes miss a pair of missed would-be game-tying 3-point shots in the final four seconds.

Bennett Stirtz paced Iowa with 17 points while Cam Manyawu and Tavion Banks had nine each. Amare Bynum added 11 points for the Buckeyes. Thornton matched Iowa’s Alvaro Folgueiras with a game-best six rebounds.
