Shelton announced through a social media post that they were going to proceed with their plans for this year. Shelton showed his excitement when he displayed his “old orange Kubota” tractor together with black plastic mulch which he had used to stop weeds from growing during his property video demonstration. His project designs included all his plans to cultivate tomatoes, peppers, squash, and cucumbers, plus a complete sweet corn field. The singer used his rural comedic style to tell a story about a vulgar cucumber saying which he learned from his stepfather. He said he grows vegetables because he wants to study gardening but he dislikes eating vegetables, which he does not eat.
The project brought happiness to their audience through its real results. Shelton’s dislike of vegetables became the main topic that people discussed. One fan wrote “BLAKE—EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!!! Yes, I’m yelling at you.” Another person jokingly said “Gwen looks like she eats her vegetables! Always fit.”
The audience experienced happiness through the content that displayed their regular life. “This is the kind of content I love,” a user commented. “Real life, real progress.” The superstar couple created a wholesome image through their collaboration. “You and Gwen are doing a fantastic job!” one reply read. Another person said “Love and life, good man good wife good life.”
Experienced growers shared their useful gardening expertise through the post. One user pointed out his rows were too far apart, predicting a weed problem. Others suggested using marigolds for insect repellant while recommending specific tools to help with plastic mulch installation. Some people discussed whether his Kubota tractor had advantages over American tractor brands.
