    Boosie Says R. Kelly Would "Smoke" Michael Jackson In Verzuz

    Boosie has chosen a winner in a Verzuz battle that’ll never happen. His comments follow Tyrese and Tank going viral after a hit-for-hit live show. On Sunday (March 29), the Baton Rouge rapper shook the internet after claiming R. Kelly would “smoke” the late Michael Jackson in a music showdown. The internet wasted no time—crowning their own winner, dragging Boosie and in some cases agreeing with him.

    Boosie Sides With R. Kelly Over Michael Jackson

    Boosie posted about Kelly vs. MJ while being at what looks like a pool party. The DJ at the function was blasting ‘Ignition (Remix),’ released in 2002. The rapper complimented Kelly’s music, saying it still rocks to this day, then said he wishes MJ wasn’t deceased and that R. Kelly was free so he could “prove [his] point.” And what’s his point? In a Verzuz, “R. Kelly would smoke Michael Jackson…A lot of y’all might get in y’all feelings, R. Kelly would smoke Mike. It wouldn’t even be close.” 

    He tripled down on his point, clarifying that he means with music and swagger, not stage performance. On that stage, MJ can’t be touched, that Boosie agrees on. But in a song-for-song? R. Kelly would smoke Michael, and he’d be front seat to see if it was possible, Boosie said. “JV and Varsity,” he added.

    “A lot of people don’t want to keep it real, but I’ll keep it 1000.” 

    Boosie Sends A Message To Michael Jackson’s Fans

    Boosie doubled back late Sunday to clock the people saying MJ would end Kelly by just standing on stage. The rapper clarified that he’s not measuring performance. He sees Kelly as the winner in a hit for hit.

    “I know Mike the best at performing. I didn’t say performing, I said song for song…And I feel like the people who saying Mike they like born in the 70s. Because I’m born in the 80s and…I can’t name 10 Michael Jackson songs that I could sing word for word…Kells got 30 of them motherf**kers that people could sing word for word.”

    Again, he said, the battle wouldn’t be close, without stage presence as a factor. “Mike the coldest at performing,” Boosie said. “Y’all called me crazy, I just speak my truth and sometimes the truth hurts…. know he in a bad predicament or situation, but take that out your mind…we talking song for song. It’s not close bro, it’s not. Sorry if I hurt some feels but that’s life.”

    Boosie also popped X to stand by his thoughts on the hypothetical battle.
