Andy Cohen has been with Bravo for over twenty years. He joined the network in 2004 when it was still finding its footing in television. He started as the vice president of original programming before moving into an executive producer role. Two decades later, he’s the face of Bravo.

Bravo Announces Andy Cohen Replacement
Andy Cohen has gigs outside of Bravo. He’s co-hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve celebration for several years alongside Anderson Cooper. Viewers expect an unhinged celebration after the hosts get into the alcohol. The network actually banned drinking after one of the pair’s escapades.
Bravo announced this week that they’re replacing Andy Cohen…. with a version of himself. AI Andy Cohen is coming this summer. In a press release, NBCUniversal, which owns Bravo, announced some big changes to the Peacock streaming app. In an effort to boost engagement, an AI version of Andy Cohen will spill the tea about the Real Housewives shows in a new “Bravoverse” hub on the streamer.
“Bravoverse” is where to go for the backstory on all the drama and feuds that happen on the network’s reality shows. The AI version of Andy Cohen will be labeled as such in the app to avoid confusion.
Peacock streaming is also expanding its products with video games, including a new Law & Order game. Stay tuned for more on the launch date for the exciting venture.

AI is a hotly debated topic these days. Bravo fans took to social media in outrage over AI Andy Cohen.

Why AI Is Problematic
There is a lot of fear of AI taking jobs. More and more restaurants are using AI robots to take orders and other tasks. Even The View host Whoopi Goldberg is worried that AI could replace her, both on the talk show and in movies.
But the more pressing concern is the effect of AI on our environment. The data centers that train AI models use a lot of fossil fuel energy, leading to carbon emissions. Furthermore, the centers use fresh water that can’t be reused, putting a strain on access to clean water.
