According to the athlete, valuables were taken from his family, with him sharing the story on social media. Since then, the airline has issued a statement, as well as a response on social media.
Dion Dawkins Was Traveling From Los Angeles To Fort Lauderdale
Dawkins is a professional football offensive tackle known for playing for the Buffalo Bills, joining the team around 2017. Originally from New Jersey, he previously played college football for the Temple Owls.
In his personal life, Dawkins announced his engagement to model and nurse Daiyaana Muhammad in November 2024. The two share three children together.
Dawkins recently traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, starting in Los Angeles. At the time, he reportedly wanted to treat his family to a first-class experience while on board the JetBlue flight.
However, on social media, he has claimed that several luxury items were stolen on the flight. In particular, it was claimed that his fiancée, Daiyaana, had jewelry and Rolex watches taken from her bags.
Dawkins Shared The Story On Social Media, Even Getting A Response From JetBlue
Taking to X, Dawkins wrote, “@JetBlue makes no sense for security. I spent 10k to give my family an experience and put them all on first class @JetBlue Mint from LA to Fort Lauderdale.”
In the comments, JetBlue said that they wanted to take a closer look into the matter. Dawkins was asked to send a direct message with his reservation information.

Speaking with The U.S. Sun, JetBlue also released a statement, reaffirming that they would look into what happened. It read, “We take these reports very seriously and have launched a thorough investigation into the matter. In addition to conducting a comprehensive internal review, we will coordinate closely with law enforcement and other airport authorities to support their efforts and help ensure the issue is fully addressed.”
On social media, many advised Dawkins to keep valuables in a carry-on instead of luggage moving forward. Another even recommended using costume jewelry while going on trips.
Others tried to cheer him up in the comments. As one fan shared, “No worries. Josh Allen will be providing you guys more jewelry in the form of a ring very soon. Go Bills. (Also, sorry).”
