Football players spend the offseason doing a wide variety of things — working, studying, training, and more. In the case of one Canada West running back, he recently modelled at the Gucci Primavera runway show.
Gavin Weiss, who plays for the his hometown Calgary Dinos, rook the runway in Milan sporting what appeared to be a tight-fitting black collared shirt, glossy jeans, and black leather shoes and belt.
Photos of Weiss were posted to Gucci’s official Instagram page, which boasts 51.5 million followers. In the four days since the photos were published, they have garnered over 25,000 likes. Weiss also did a brief video interview with The Perfect Magazine, which has drawn over 325,000 views.
The six-foot-two, 200-pound ball-carrier dressed for eight games as a first-year player with the Dinos in 2025, rushing six times for three yards, catching one pass for 19 yards, and returning one kickoff for 20 yards.
Calgary used five different running backs over the course of the season with Jibreel Yahaya leading the team with 46 carries for 308 yards and one touchdown.
The Dinos finished tied for fourth in the Canada West standings in 2025 with a record of 3-5, missing out on the playoffs due to a tiebreaker with the UBC Thunderbirds.
