Canadian developer Digital Extremes has announced that the Android closed beta for Warframe is now live.
Those who have pre-registered can check the email tied to their Warframe account for further instructions. If you haven’t pre-registered yet, you can do so on via the official Warframe website.
Notably, this is a full mobile version of the London, Ont.-based studio’s massively popular free-to-play action-RPG shooter that’s been going strong since 2013 across consoles and PC. An iOS port launched last year, while a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version is in the works for next year.
If you haven’t played Warframe, it’s definitely worth checking out. Not only is it one of the biggest success stories for a Canadian developer, but it’s also just a really good game with a remarkably positive community. (So much so that Digital Extremes is able to bring thousands of fans from around the world to its hometown of London every year for its TennoCon event.)
The team is also working on an unrelated fantasy action-RPG, Soulframe, which is currently being tested with the community through “Preludes” pre-alpha releases.
