The Department of Justice released 3 million more pages in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein in January. A large part of the new batch was unredacted, exposing thousands of names connected to the convicted s*x offender. A CBS News correspondent was fired by the network for their disturbing emails revealed in the files. Keep reading for all the details.
Celebrities Do Damage Control, Explain Epstein Files Mentions
Some pretty big names were already previously linked to Jeffrey Epstein, including former President Bill Clinton. However, the newly released files contained thousands of email correspondences between Jeffrey Epstein and high-profile figures. Your favorite celebrity was possibly mentioned in the emails.
Several celebrities, including The View host Whoopi Goldberg, scrambled to explain their inclusion in the files. None of the emails, so far, revealed any illegal behavior. However, the fallout from even having a connection to Jeffrey Epstein is ongoing.
CBS News Correspondent Named In Files Thousands Of Times
Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal s*x trafficking charges. He was previously convicted in 2008 of soliciting prostitution from a minor. Many victims have come forward alleging that they were assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein and his buddies on the private island the millionaire owned.
Disgraced Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his title in 2025, was arrested in the United Kingdom earlier this month for “misconduct in a public office” for his connection to Jeffrey Epstein. However, the charges stem from allegedly revealing government secrets, not from his alleged treatment of underage girls.

The former Prince was the first arrest related to the Epstein files. However, several high-profile business executives in the U.S. have resigned amid their scandalous emails. Celebrity doctor Peter Attia, an expert in living longer, was mentioned 1,700 times in the 3 million documents.
He was let go from his CBS News correspondent job weeks after he issued a public apology for his tawdry emails to Jeffrey Epstein.
CBS News Fires Peter Attia For Connection To Jeffrey Epstein
Peter Attia was among the contributors hired by CBS News in January amid Bari Weiss’s restructuring of the network’s news division. The new editor-in-chief brought in 19 contributors to bolster the network’s reach with viewers.

The celebrity doctor’s spokesperson confirmed on February 23 that Peter Attia no longer worked for CBS News, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “He stepped back to ensure his involvement didn’t become a distraction from the important work being done at CBS,” the statement continued. “He wishes the network and its leadership well and has no further comment at this time,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
Peter Attia previously stepped down from his role with the David protein bar company. He issued an apology in early February for his emails to Jeffrey Epstein. However, it wasn’t enough to save his job with CBS News. Do you think the network made the right decision?
