Celebs Rally Around Kandi Burruss Amid Messy Divorce From Todd Tucker

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss is receiving support from a multitude of celebrities after sharing a heartbreaking admission about her split from her soon-to-be ex-husband, Todd Tucker. The reality star first opened up about her ongoing divorce from Tucker, whom she met while filming season 4 of Bravo’s “RHOA” in 2014, in an emotional interview just a few weeks ago. Since then, Burruss and Tucker have been engaged in an intense legal battle over the custody of their children and their finances, leading many to offer the Xscape singer a shoulder to lean on during this difficult time.

Burruss shared a photo montage from the last few months on Instagram, set to an unreleased song in which she sings about running away from painful moments to avoid dealing with them. The pictures showed Burruss smiling alongside her children, reality TV peers like Todd and Julie Chrisley, podcast guests, and posing for red carpet photos at major events.

Burruss captioned the post, “This is what I look like when I’m going through something. I show up for my family, I show up for my friends, I show up to handle my business, [and] I show up with a smile all while on the inside I’m emotionally broken.” Continuing, Burruss explained that her tendency to bottle up her emotions is how she processes stress. “I am the poster child for the saying, ‘check on your strong friend because you never know what they are going through,'” she finished.

Burruss announced her split from Tucker in early November 2025, referencing their 11 years of marriage and sharing that she reached the decision after much “thought and a lot of prayer.”

“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family,” she said.

Shortly after, Burruss shared a video online, confessing to experiencing a wave of emotions. “Sometimes you’re cool, you’re moving, you’re mixing, you’re moving, you’re hanging out with friends,” she said. “So all the times you’ve been seeing me online [all smiles] means nothing. I’ve been going through it, child. I’ve been going through it. Life has been life-ing me.”

As previously reported by The Blast, stunning details have emerged since Burruss filed for divorce, including allegations that Tucker was texting another woman behind Burruss’ back. A source claimed the “Real Housewives” star and “No Scrubs” writer was shocked and “had no idea” about the betrayal.

Days later, Tucker filed a response to Burruss’ divorce filing, requesting primary custody of their two minor children, Ace and Blaze Tucker, citing the reality star’s busy work schedule. Tucker also asked for final decision-making authority. Tucker’s lawyers also shared concerns regarding the couple’s prenuptial agreement, claiming Tucker was presented with the legal document “without [Tucker] having counsel, even though [Burruss’] then counsel had communicated previously with [Tucker’s team] regarding a potential prenuptial agreement.”

Burruss’ post garnered over 200,000 likes in under 24 hours, along with a slew of encouraging comments from celebrities and fans alike.
