Flavored with sweet cereal-infused milk, this cereal milk latte is a fun way to start your day! You can make this trendy cafe-style recipe at home in a few simple steps!
There’s something about cereal milk that makes me feel nostalgic. From cereal milk ice cream, cereal milk cake, or even cereal milk overnight oats, I’m obsessed. So after having a cereal milk latte at a cute little trendy cafe, I just had to make it at home!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- While I love hanging out at a cute cafe, the costs of the drinks really add up. It costs me a fraction of the price to make this cereal milk latte at home.
- It isn’t that much more work than a regular coffee. It’s simple and pretty easy to whip together.
- You can turn this sweet latte into an even sweeter treat and add a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Ingredients You’ll Need

- milk — you can use any milk of your choice, from cow’s milk to non-dairy milk such as almond milk or oat milk.
- cereal — use your favorite cereal! For this recipe pictured, I’m using the limited edition pastel Fruity Pebbles.
- vanilla syrup — I use Torani vanilla syrup, but you can also use vanilla bean syrup! I’ve made it with both.
- espresso — I use vanilla Nespresso pods, but you can brew a strong coffee or use instant espresso.
- ice — if you want to make this an iced latte like myself.
How to Make Cereal Milk Latte

- In a bowl, combine the cereal and milk. Cover and set aside in the fridge for 30 minutes so the milk can be infused with flavor.
- Drain the milk through a fine-mesh strainer.
- Prepare your coffee. I use a Nespresso machine.
- To a glass with ice, add the vanilla syrup, espresso shots, and milk. Stir well to combine and enjoy. Garnish with more cereal on top if desired.

Recipe Tips and Notes
- Instead of ice, freeze extra coffee in an ice tray and use it in the latte to avoid it getting watered down! I do this with my matcha often to keep my matcha latte from being watery!
- Make this stronger by using less milk and increasing the espresso.
- Add some froth on top if you desire!
- You’ll need to soak the cereal with a little more milk than you’d usually add to your coffee as the cereal will absorb some.
You definitely can! In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup granulated sugar, ½ cup water, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Bring to a gentle boil and cook until the sugar has dissolved. Make sure to stir the entire time. You can also try my homemade brown sugar syrup for a more caramel-like note to the latte!
