Two of Canada’s budget-friendly wireless providers are offering a free month of service for customers who sign up before the end of March.
Rogers’ Chatr Mobile and Bell’s Lucky Mobile both started offering the free month promotion this week.
For Chatr, it’s offering a credit equivalent to one month of service, but it won’t be applied until your third month with the carrier. Moreover, you’ll need to have an active account, you can’t change your plan, and you need to sign up for automatic payments as well (though you’ll want to do that anyway to get bonus data).
The credit is available on plans costing $25 and up. Here are the options:
- $25/4GB (includes 2GB autopay bonus)
- $29/25GB (includes 5GB autopay bonus)
- $35/35GB (includes 10GB autopay bonus)
- $39/60GB (includes 30GB autopay bonus)
- $47/80GB (includes 40GB autopay bonus)
Lucky Mobile’s offer is very similar, offering new customers a credit for their third month of service. However, Lucky notes that the offer isn’t available at Staples or Circle K.
Moreover, Lucky has nearly identical plans to Chatr, with one major difference: Lucky has a $25/25GB plan. The following options are eligible for the free month of service:
- $25/25GB (with autopay)
- $29/25GB (with autopay)
- $35/35GB (with autopay)
- $39/60GB (with autopay)
- $47/80GB (with autopay)
Both providers include unlimited Canada-wide calling and unlimited international texts sent from Canada with these plans, as well as 4G data, voicemail, and other standard features.
You can check out the plans on the Chatr and Lucky websites.
