Norris is a prominent martial artist and actor. Known for winning multiple martial arts championships and previously serving in the United States Air Force, he became known for appearing in a number of films, including The Way of the Dragon, Breaker! Breaker!, Good Guys Wear Black, and A Force of One.
Later, Norris became known for appearing on the long-running CBS series, Walker, Texas Ranger. One of his last major film appearances was in The Expendables 2 in 2012. More recently, he appeared in 2024’s Agent Recon. In addition to his own prolific career in Hollywood, he is also known for training celebrities.
Recently, Norris was rushed to the hospital in Hawaii following a medical emergency. This notably took place following his 86th birthday on March 10.
Sources speaking with TMZ shared that the actor endured a medical emergency on the island of Kauai that landed him in the hospital. The outlet noted that Norris endured this emergency within 24 hours of the story being shared on March 19.
The Actor Recently Celebrated His Birthday With Fans On Social Media
At this time, there wasn’t much information available about the emergency itself. However, Norris appeared to be in good spirits shortly afterwards. The actor reportedly even cracked jokes while on the phone with a friend.
Norris was said to be on the island for training purposes. Recently, in honor of his 86th birthday, Norris shared a video of his training with fans on social media. In the video, he mused, “I don’t age. I level up,” a line he repeated in the accompanying video.

The actor continued, “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love. Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.” He also continued to thank fans for sharing their birthday wishes with him.
As noted by Kauai Now, Norris is set to appear in the upcoming Australian action-comedy, Zombie Plane. He is set to appear alongside Vanilla Ice and Sophie Monk, with the film making its debut in Australia.
